The role and the responsibilities of every participant for the accomplishment of the project


Steps / Activities / Participants

Step I:  Preliminary studies and researches for identification of fundamental principles for achieving new biosensors useful for nitrates and nitrites monitoring
Activity I.1:  Studies and analyses required for lab scale technology accomplishment
Partner P1(CO):  Study regarding possible ways for enzyme covalent immobilization on polymers, useful in nitrate and nitrite monitoring.
Partner P2:  Study for biosensors producing for nitrate and nitrite monitoring.
Partner P3:  Study regarding analytical methods for monitoring nitrates and nitrites existing in water for human consumption.

Step II:  Researches for elaboration of the biosensors manufacture technologies, based on enzyme covalent immobilization upon polymers
Activity II.1:  Development of an experimental model- technology for manufacture biosensors useful for monitoring of the nitrates and nitrites content in water
Partner P1(CO):  Researches for elaboration lab scale technology for achieving enzyme immobilization on polymer membrane.
Partner P2:  Researches for estimation of enzymatic activity of peculiar membranes holding covalent immobilized enzymes and also for biosensors making.
Partner P3:  Comprehensive analysis of waters for human consumption emphasizing their nitrates and nitrites content.
Partner P4:  Morpho-structural analysis of the involved polymers and of the enzymatic nanocomposites.
Partner P5:  Molecular weight, physical and chemical analysis of polymers, biopolymers and containing enzymes nanocomposite membranes.
Activity II.2:  Experimental model designing
Partner P1(CO):  Designs of technological and outfit flow charts in order to perform these new materials.
Partner P2:  Participates at designing activity of technological and outfit flow charts in order to perform these new materials.

Step III:  Experimental model accomplishment: lab technology for producing enzymatic biosensors useful for monitoring nitrates and nitrites existing in human consumption water
Activity III.1:  Accomplishment of experimental model - lab scale technology
Partner P1(CO):  Accomplishment of the producing procedure for polymer membrane holding covalently immobilized enzymes.
Partner P2:  Accomplishment lab scale procedure for producing biosensors useful for monitoring of nitrate and nitrite levels in waters.
Partner P4:  Structure characterization of polymer-enzyme composites.
Partner P5:  Physical and chemical characterization of polymer nanocomposites.
Activity III.2:  Elaboration of the documentation for functional model - lab scale technology
Partner P1(CO):  Technology achievement for producing biosensors useful for monitoring the water nitrates and nitrites contents.
Partner P2:  Participates at technology achievement for producing biosensors useful for monitoring the water nitrates and nitrites contents.
Activity III.3:  Experimentation of the proposed solution for enzymatic biosensors producing and their utilization in order to monitor the nitrate and nitrite content in water for human consumption
Partner P1(CO):  Experimentation of the proposed solution for producing membranes containing covalently immobilized enzymes.
Partner P2:  Experimentation of the proposed solution for producing biosensors useful to monitor the nitrate and nitrite content.
Partner P3:  Experimentation of utilization of biosensors in monitoring of the nitrate and nitrite content from waters for human consumption.

Step IV:  Demonstration of functionality and utility of resulted technology for enzymatic biosensors realization useful for monitoring nitrates and nitrites content existing in waters for human consumption, patent protection and results dissemination
Activity IV.1:  Demonstration of functionality and utility of proposed technology, based on covalently immobilization of enzymes on polymers, for biosensors realization
Partner P1(CO):  Researches for proving technology reproducibility of enzyme covalently immobilization on polymer membrane.
Partner P2:  Researches for proving reproducibility of technology for producing the new biosensors.
Partner P4:  Helps the demonstration with peculiar analysis.
Partner P5:  Complex characterization of polymers and polymer enzymatic composites.
Activity IV.2:  Technology experimentation and verification
Partner P3:  Researches for functionality and utility demonstration of enzymatic biosensors for human consumption waters monitoring, comparatively with other methods.
Activity IV.3:  Designing and elaboration of technical-economical documentation
Partner P1(CO):  Coordinates and participates at activity of feasibility study elaboration.
Partner P2:  Participates at feasibility study elaboration.
Partner P3:  Participates at feasibility study elaboration.
Activity IV.4:  Elaboration of technical specification
Partner P1(CO):  Coordinates and participates at activity of elaboration of technical specification.

Activity IV.5:  Large scale dissemination of the results by their communication and national and international publishing
Partner P1(CO):  Coordinates the whole activity during project progress in order to submit at least 4 scientific communications at international conferences, at least 4 articles (in ISI quoted journals), to edit CD-ROM, web page and to take part at workshops, fairs and exhibitions.
Partner P2:  Support the dissemination.

Activity IV.6:  Identification and assigning the results intellectual property right
Partner P1(CO):  Coordinates the activity of registering at least one patent request.
